The name has early origins that means “deep valley” which is appropriate due to the deep valleys in the Sykes area where the foal was born. |

On another note…his mother was named for the song, “Ventura Highway” which was by, you guessed it, the band…America. |

In addition, the mare’s mother, Jasmine’s name is a flower, therefore it seemed only fitting to name the new foal, Alaska Rose. |
